The man had WhatsApp cloned after posting a car on the internet

A 63-year-old man from Santa Cruz was the victim of a scam last Friday, the 22nd, after announcing the sale of a car on a classifieds website. After posting, a man got in touch, using a profile picture from the website and asked to work at the company.

The fraudster will ask the victim to follow the instructions from time to time, including his WhatsApp number as a contact in the post, because the company’s direct chat will have problems. However, after entering the number received in his phone, he disappeared to WhatsApp.
