The bill (PL 2,628/2022) that establishes the rights to protect children and young people in social relations is ready to enter the voting process of the Law, Justice and Justice (CCJ). Authored by Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE) and announced by Senator Jorge Kajuru (PSB-GO), the proposal provides policies such as banning money for children under 12 years old and digital advertising aimed at children.

“Now there are studies around the world that prove the damage that occurs to the development of these young people, especially during childhood, up to 12 years . When you transfer this to real life, you will not. Leave your child alone in a square at night, talk to anyone, interact with everyone in the environment of all content. In social media, that’s what happens”, thinks Alessandro.

Among the rules set out in the project is the ban on using social media accounts for children under the age of 12 and advertising to children.

“So, what the project does, in accordance with what the world is showing, is to create rules and obligations for companies that receive money from this, even if in deciding to restrict access to minors, Although in the sense of creating procedures so that parents have the least control, knowledge of their children access or have access to social networks. Create rules so that you have transparency, guarantee access, no one prevents you from accessing the website. social network or internet access, no that’s it! But there must be rules and approval, there are many companies that make money from advertising aimed at children and young people. So, we create more responsibility for them”, explain the author’s idea.
