MinTIC opens call for Internet Service Providers in the framework of ‘ConnectiVITY to Change Lives’ project

The Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies published Call 001 on March 18, 2024 – Type 1 Projects (Remnants), aimed at Internet Service Providers (ISP), who want to participate in ‘ConnectiVITY for Cambiar Vidas’ to bring stable broadband Internet to 37,205 homes in eight cities in four cities: Puerto Tejada, Santander de Quilichao and Villa Rica (Cauca), Maicao (La Guajira), La Unión (Nariño) and Buenaventura, Vijes and Andalucía (Cauca’s Valley).

We are promoting access to the Internet of the country as a priority public service, before the population with a high digital divide, in poor conditions and remote areas, which supporting the economic development of the digital society.“said ICT Minister, Mauricio Lizcano (@MauricioLizcano).

ISPs are willing to participate in Call 001 on March 18, 2024 – Type 1 Projects (Remnants) You can send your request to the email: supervisioncpcv@mintic.gov.co. The deadline is April 8, 2024 at 11:59 p.m

This project is possible thanks to the collaboration of the ICT Ministry with the company Internexa SA, which seeks to help more than 400,000 families in strata 1 and 2, connecting communities and schools public, contribute to the purpose of connection established in the National. Plan 2022 – 2026 ‘Colombia Global Energy for Life’.
