Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence for more efficient water use

Water and electricity are essential resources to support irrigation agriculture that allows food production and, in turn, sustains the planet.. Project HOPE

In this context, the HOPE project was born, created by the Hydraulic and Irrigation group of the University of Córdoba and Agroforestry and Cartographic Precision of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, which will work for three years on the development of a holistic precision irrigation model that allows the transition of agriculture to a more resilient and emissions-neutral model, focusing on water and the strength.

HOPE shows the progress that has already been made by research groups in previous work where solar irrigation systems, the use of sensors and Artificial Intelligence techniques or precision fertigation systems have been used. with energy conservation occurring in water communities, etc.; to move to a model that combines the use of water and energy, the use of photovoltaic electricity to make energy independent of the water in the water and the amount of emissions generated by the This model, but also has sequestered carbon. All of this on the path of moderate climate and the new agenda set by the Green Deal or the 2030 Agenda.
